On the 8th of February 2016, my folks, relatives, and I went on a wee hiking trip at Taylors Mistake, The sea-side location is known for it's amazing surf-friendly beach, hiking trails, and parks, and it'd be an understatement to say that it was just incredibly beautiful!

Of course since we planned to hike, I was in my comfortable yet functional gym clothes. And even though we visited during summertime, it was quite a lovely day mixed with a bit of sun and cool breezes. This caused the waves to crash just a little harder on the rocks, my hair flying in my face in every possible direction, and my body turning just a bit cooler; hence the oversized jacket I added on top.

This is my revival... This is a revival...

Yes, I am back! I have missed blogging so much, and I am here for the long run. I'm sorry for the lack of posts, but get excited because I've bought myself a new camera which, for you guys, would mean more photos and more upcoming posts! So let's just get into this entry...

My family and I, along with my relatives, went to a winery down north of Christchurch to go wine tasting and basically just go out, have fun, get some fresh air away from the city, and bond over weird little things.

That day turned out quite well as the sun was bright and shining while the wind cool and moving. In days like that, I turn to a good pair of jeans, a crop top, a jacket, casual shoes, and a pair of cool looking sunglasses.
With my top, I tried a bit of layering that kept me warm and not too hot, you know what I mean? I did this with a black strappy bralette underneath a deep-v, open-back crop top. I also put on a two-strap silver necklace and tucked it underneath my bralette to give that hint of 90s/grunge vibe.
Folding my jeans up when pairing them with close-toed slip on shoes made the skin on my bottom half look like they could breathe.
My puffed bomber jacket made me look a tinge cool, but also kept me warm. Finally, my oh-so adorable pair of sunglasses that I am inlove with have kept my eyes working and away from the sun's harmful rays. They're cute and they do the job even better!

Yes, yes, I know. You've seen too many of my blog posts with the word "faux" in them. But I have a confession to make... Ever since I wore that faux top from Zara in my blog post entitled "Faux x Leather," I have become a huge fan of the said material! Seriously! Whenever I go into stores and find something that's made out of faux fur or faux leather, I immediately have to stop myself and think about all these life decisions I have to make haha.

Today, I bring another item from my wardrobe that is made out of a faux material. These shorts are way beyond stunning! It has a faux leather waistband that singes and a matching faux leather strand around it with tassels at the end. It also has this faux fur kind of texture to the main part of the shorts, similar to the vest I had on in my blog post entitled "Vest Bargain Ever!" Another aspect I like about these shorts are the scallop-cut slits it has on both sides which makes the pair quite different from your regular denim cut pair.

I styled these shorts with a long semi-turtle neck sleeveless top, but you could also wear it with a fitted crop top or a regular v-neck for a more casual look. The dainty tasseled gold necklace gave the outfit a more glam look while the black boots kept it edgy and chic.
